Movement Disorders
Imagine if you couldn't walk normally or
get up from a chair. What if parts of your body moved when you didn't want
them to. Imagine if all the muscles in your trunk or arms contracted
without your control in a painful twisted distortion of terror. If you
have a movement disorder, you experience these kinds of
movements. Dyskinesia is a common symptom of many movement disorders.
Dyskinesia results in broken or jerky motions. Tremors are a type of
dyskinesia.
Nerve diseases cause many movement
disorders, such as Parkinson's disease. Other causes include injuries,
autoimmune diseases, infections and certain medicines. Many movement
disorders are inherited, which means they run in families.
Treatment varies by disorder. Frederick
A. Clary, DC utilizes natural interventions like muscle firing pattern
re-education, antagonist balancing, proprioceptive re-education,
dynamic equilibrium conditioning, “stack/ stagger” ADL education and
dietary supplementation. Frederick A. Clary, D.C. will work with your
medical professionals as you begin to functionally improve under Dr.
Clary’s care. In that case, the goal of treatment is to improve brain
function first then the muscle coordination will improve subsequently. |
